This CD includes many short pieces for viola and piano by York Bowen, like Melodies and Romances, Allegro de Concert, three unpublished duos for violin and viola, and one not very often-heard big late work: Rhapsody for viola and piano. Alongside, there is the Britten’s Waltz from the violin suite op. 6 (arranged by Britten himself) and Imogen Holst’s duo and easy pieces.

She currently plays an instrument by French viola maker Antoine Gourdon, 2015, with a golden mounted bow by P. Guillaume.
